• Treatment of Epilepsy/Seizures: It slows down abnormal electrical signals in the brain that cause seizures (fits), helping to control various types of seizures including petit mal epilepsy, akinetic, and myoclonic seizures.
• Panic Disorder: It can help manage and reduce the severity and frequency of panic attacks.
• Muscle Relaxation: Due to its muscle relaxant properties, it can also be used to relieve muscle spasms.
• Sometimes used for insomnia (difficulty sleeping) when related to anxiety, and restless leg syndrome.

Important Considerations & Side Effects:

• Highly Habit-Forming: ANXIPAM MD 0.5 has a high potential for addiction and habit formation. It should only be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor, for the shortest possible duration, and at the lowest effective dose.
• Withdrawal Symptoms: Do NOT stop taking this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor. Abrupt discontinuation can lead to severe withdrawal symptoms such as increased seizure frequency, nausea, anxiety, agitation, flu-like symptoms, sweating, tremors, and confusion. Your doctor will gradually reduce the dose over time to minimize withdrawal effects.
• Drowsiness and Dizziness: This medicine commonly causes drowsiness, dizziness, and impaired coordination. It is crucial to avoid driving or operating heavy machinery until you know how the medicine affects you.
